Where to Take Online Courses for Free or for Less Than One Thousand Pesos

Upgrading your skills is a must. This is highly important for freelancers to remain competitive and employable.

If you've been working for over five years and have a better understanding of the freelance or gig industry, you'd say that nobody is indispensable. The company you are working with or the client that you are servicing can replace you anytime. They can hire someone better, energetic, knowledgeable, or cheaper. They can terminate your project without prior notice. You were happily working with a client then suddenly they are going to drop you. The next time you know, you are looking for a new freelance project.

I could not stress enough the importance of upgrading your skills. You can master your craft and stick to that 10,000 hours of "deliberate practice." However, if your knowledge and practices are outdated, it would be less attractive for recruitment or you can't demand a higher rate.

If you want an Inbound Marketing Certification, you can take an online course for free and get certified from Hubspot. Add your certificate on your LinkedIn profile. That is a great addition to your credentials.

Udemy is a great site to look for interesting courses relevant to you and get certified. They have over 55,000 courses in various categories.They even have meditation classes.They are currently offering online courses for $10, which is like 80% off!

You can also check Lynda.com (from LinkedIn). They offer $19.99 for the basic plan. However, with the current USD-PHP conversion rate, it is over one thousand pesos.
